Melissa works
at a trendy coffee house and is a part-time student. She was ready
for a totally new look that was more current, yet easy to take care
of. Her length was to her mid back and she had outgrown layers and
bangs. Her natural texture is slightly wavy with fine density. Her
color was previously over processed and damaged, and had some bits
of black as well as brassy golden tones that needed to be removed.

 |
| PON
International stylist Mandi Bevando started by cutting 8 inches of
her damaged length off. Next she texturized the back, added volume
on top but she left the sides longer so Melissa felt like she had
some length to play with. |
 |
| For
her color, a light caramel hue was applied to her natural ash tone
for added warmth without any brassy tones like before. |

To
style, Mandi started with damp hair and applied PON International

all over, and Mussy all over, but concentrated on the root. A small
amount of Sealant was used on the ends to control the wave. After
blow-drying with a round brush for volume, movement was added by
using Du

styling paste. Scatter
FX spray wax was lightly applied in back for more texture and
pliable movement.

| For
a second look, Mandi created an intertwined up style that was swept
to one side. More Scatter
FX was dusted over the top of dry hair after the crown was backcombed
to add height for the base. Small sections were ribboned around, intertwined
and pinned into place. Da

working spray was used over the top to hold. |
