Brilliant Ideas

Ashley's bra length hair was grown out with "fried" color with old chunky pieces of both dark brown and platinum blonde. Her natural (level 5/6) dark blonde hair had a about an inch of regrowth as well.

To create a new look with a softer edge, stylist Stacy Burdge of PON International started with the cut. After removing several inches of length, she used shears along the perimeter to point cut for a shaggy edge, She also added a swooping bang and texturized all over with a razor.
For her color, she wanted to apply a softer, more natural-looking end result. She added thinly sliced highlights in a lighter and a medium blonde, and a lowlight in a warm caramel hue.
To style, PON International Elevate was applied at the root, while both Sealant and all Turn it Up were used all over. After rough-drying to remove most of the moisture, Stacy smoothed the hair out and applied volume at the crown using a round boar bristle brush. Once completely dry, the hair was flat ironed for control and to kick the ends out slightly. Scatter FX spray wax, Da Flex working spray and Shynie were all utilized to finish.
