Kindred Spirits

Shelly Reeves (of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, California) created a perfect option for longer hair for Kristen. She started with long layers that ended just below her shoulder, and then created a side-sweeping bang. Once the foundation was set, she went back through and heavily texturized to add movement.
She took the color from a dull blonde to a rich warm golden tone to complement Kristen's skin. The base is a warm medium brown with a few golden blonde highlights placed to accent the texture of the cut.
To control her natural frizz and create a smooth finish, a dime size amount of Pon International Frizz Free is dispersed throughout the hair from mid shaft to ends. Elevate is then applied at the base for lift and Turn it Up is used all over for control. The hair is blow-dried with a round brush for volume then is finished with Scatter FX spray wax and Da Flex spray.
For a softly texturized variation, a one-inch curling iron is used to create large curls along with Da Flex working spray. Once all the curls are applied, the sections are fingered back through with a small Submission on fingers to keep the frizz down. More Da Flex spray is dusted over the surface to finish.
