Kindred Spirits

Aurem's naturally fine hair reached to just past her shoulders. To instill more length and volume, stylist Mandi Bevando (of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, California) applied real human hair extensions. She used a strand-by-strand fusion system to custom blend the colors into the natural hair. The hair was cut dry and layered to frame her face, texturized all over for movement.

Her color is deepened to a rich warm brown, which covered some of her previous gold highlights. Mandi applied highlights back into the base using the lighter tone of some of the extensions to break everything up.
This cut can be worn several ways. For a slightly textured style, Pon International Turn it Up is applied all over before blow-drying with a round brush for volume. Large sections are dusted with a working spray and loosely curled with a one-inch curling iron. The curls are broken up by hand to give an undone sort of flavor.
To wear straight, the length is flat ironed then applied with Scatter FX spray wax to finish. .
