Hair extension
specialist, Jaime Queenin of Pon International wanted to create
a fun and versatile look for Traci that was not as permanent or
time consuming as regular hair extensions. Using glue-in rows of
extensions, she applied a mix of color starting with Traci's natural
warm dark brown to add some length and volume, then added a copper
red and a pale blonde for dimension. Once they were all applied,
the extensions were blended in with her natural hair using a razor.

| "These
extensions", says Jaime, "are not meant for all the time
wear as they last up to 2-4 weeks before you either have them taken
out or adjusted. They are perfect for special occasions or a big weekend
when you really don't want anything permanent. I market to the person
that wants to change their color without being totally locked into
it." |

To style, Pon International Sealant
leave in conditioner and Pon
Du soy paste are
layered onto towel-dried hair. Next Jaime blow-dried most of the moisture
out using a paddle brush then applied Turn
it Up
styling spray to
the crown for added lift. Once completely dry, the strands are flat
ironed then dusted with Shynie
spray laminate and pieced with Du
Da Du styling paste. For more volume, backcomb at the crown and
smooth the surface back over the foundation. |
