Katie's hair was a natural (level 7) dark blonde with some previous highlighting, To update her look, stylist Shawna Petersen of Pon International created a softer, dark golden blonde base with light blonde and beige blonde slices throughout. |

| Her cut is medium length with short layers on top and a strong side-swept bang or fringe area. To create a sleek style, Pon International Elevate is applied at the root while Sealant leave in conditioner is used on the ends. The hair is then blown dry using a round brush for volume at the root. The bangs were dried forward then pushed over the side. A shinny wax is worked through the dry hair to smooth out and add texture, then, a light coat of da Flex working spray is used over the surface to finish. |

| For a softly textured look, a large curling iron is used on large sections, curling the hair outward away from the face. More da Flex working spray helps hold everything in place. |
