Hair Extension specialist Jaime Queenin of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, California wanted to make a statement about long hair and using natural human hair extensions to add color without altering the client's natural hair.

"My goal," states Jaime, “is to show that people with long hair can still have fun with color but don’t have to actually color their hair. Well placed extensions can help do that for them without being a permanent change."
For Samaiya she created a fun mix of texture into her naturally dark and very long hair by adding panels of black, caramel brown and platinum blonde to blend into, yet break up her natural color. The extensions are layered slightly with a razor to help blend into her own soft and low layers. Individual pieces of color are bonded into her fringe (bangs) to help blend her blunt cut bangs into side swept fringe.
To create a sleek look, the damp hair is applied with ample amounts of Pon International Sealant leave in conditioner and Frizz Free to help calm her naturally puffy hair. After blow-drying the hair straight in small sections with a paddle brush, Jaime dusted the surface with Turn it Up and smoothed her hair with a flat iron. More Frizz Free over the surface created a perfect finish.
For a more texturized look, Jaime used da Flex working spray and an extra large curling iron to curl the hair in small sections from the mid shafts to the ends. Once the entire head is curled, she softly broke the coils up with her fingers and a bit of Frizz Free.
