Wanting to spice up her color, Allyson also longed to take control of her unruly, even frizzy locks. Stylist Shawna Petersen of Pon International came to her rescue. She started by applying a rich series of very dark red violet for the base then placed random copper red highlights to add dimension over all.
For the cut longer layers are applied to a shoulder length perimeter. These layers help to remove some of the weight internally and allow for versatile styling options.
For a sleek look, Shawna applied Pon International Elevatë at the root for volume, Sealant leave in conditioner on the ends and Turn it Up spray all over for control. Using a large round brush, she blow-dried the hair straight then coaxed some volume at the root by pulling straight up on top. She then added a slight flip on the ends. Once all moisture was removed, the strands are flat ironed and applied with a small amount of Pon Du soy paste to piece lightly. Da Flex spray is applied over the top for hold.

For a textured look, the natural curl is activated by applying Pon International Mussy all over and Sealant just on the ends. The hair is then diffuse-dried, scrunching lightly to take weight off of the curl and allowing it to form naturally. To keep frizz to a minimum the hair is not overworked. Just a small amount of Pon International Fringe for texture and viola…. Perfection!
