wild side

Bernay had a basic length with little shape and very drab, monochromatic color. To update her look, Shelly Wayne of PON International in Anaheim Hills, California created this fun mid length style that is sliced through for a shattered layering effect. This shattering creates a broken perimeter and asymmetrical, disconnected fringe.
Her haircolor now features a 3-D effect using a “spilled” technique where color appears to be poured on over the top of the head. The application starts with a shattered halo section on the crest or top of head that is prelightened and applied with a light copper gold. Low lights are placed within this halo section using an umbrella weave with medium copper for dimension. Super dark golden brown is applied on the remaining hair creating the ultimate in depth.
To style Shelly used PON International Sealant leave in conditioner to control the natural texture and Turn It Up styling spray on the root area and rubbed a bit to the ends for control and volume. She blow-dried straight with a large round brush, then applied Da Flex working spray on each section from mid shaft to ends and flat ironed for sleekness. Last, she finished with Scatter FX spray wax for definition and texture.
