Makover Magic

Bree's hair was shoulder length with a fair amount of damage. It was broken off on the sides and her color was a solid, but flat blond hue.

Stylist Jennifer Scott started the new look with the color. She applied medium beige blond low light then added platinum highlights for dimension. In addition to some blond pieces, deep purple extensions were added in under the bangs and on the sides for a fun peek-a-boo effect.
The extensions added some length in the front and gave Bree some volume for a slightly rocker edge. The extensions were cut to blend in with the rest of her hair. The length was sliced into while the ends were chipped up for a highly texturized finish. A heavy, slightly to one side fringe was also created to frame her face.
For a smooth look Jennifer blow-dried using just her hands, added PON International Shynie and then flat ironed to set a sleek finish. Ponder Powder was sprinkled in at the root for added lift and Fringe was sprayed on the ends to create more separation. Da Flex over the surface provided just the right amount of soft, pliable hold.
For a hint of movement, Jennifer bent sections of hair on the surface with a 1.5-inch iron, which was finger-styled into place to create a soft texture. A dab of Du da du was used to piece the ends out slightly.
