When searching for a new look, it's advised to evolve into a style versus jumping in headfirst. At least that's what trendsetter Pon Saradeth suggests. This master stylist and owner of PON International Salon, Spa and Academy in Anaheim Hills, California is known worldwide for his signature, award-winning cuts and the line of clients vying for his time is a testament that his opinion clearly counts.
"It's important to find your style Zen," explains Pon. "A blending of cut, color and style with results that are not only beautiful, but are consistent, versatile and completely repeatable at home."
To find this perfect balance, he and his team carefully assess each client's facial features, face and head shape, body structure, lifestyle and place in life and come up with a solution that is fitting to each. From there they recommend a cut with the length the client is comfortable with, color that is suiting their specific palette and options for styling that work with their needs.
Pon adds, "I highly recommend inquiring about the level of upkeep required before snipping off your length or opting for a drastic color change. Very often there are different styling products and tools that may be required to achieve the finished look at home. Also, color will grow out and the more drastic the change, the more obvious it will be. I highly recommend making changes in smaller, baby steps instead. That way you can try things out as your look evolves into a truly amazing and customized style."
