Progressive Style

Before, Mallory had long, curly hair that reached to her mid back, which was unruly and difficult to manage. She had previous highlights through her natural blonde (level 7) base.

Stylist Mandi Bevando (of PON International in Anaheim Hills, California) took several inches off of Mallory's length allowing the ends to delicately brush her shoulders. She applied some layers that were not too short so Mallory could still put her hair up or pull it back for sports. Most of the layering was done to help unlock her natural texture and to frame her face.
For the color, Mandi first retouched the roots then added back in a slightly darker version of her natural light brown shade to increase depth and dimension. Last, she toned overall to create a more neutral or beige blonde versus a gold blonde.
To create a smooth style, Mandi applied Goldwell Flexi Whip and PON International Sealant leave in conditioner, then blow-dried with a large round brush for smoothness and volume. Once dry, she flat ironed as needed then pieced through the ends with PON International Du Da Du.
