Shimmer

Raquel had very long, almost stringy, hair with no real shape or volume. Her natural brown color seemed dull next to her skin tone. To start off her new look PON International stylist Mary Jane Hirsch added natural looking beigey highlights over a dark brown base. This gave Raquel a better tonal range and brightened up her face. A clear gloss was added over the surface to seal in the color and leave a rich luster to the finish.

To give volume and movement, Mary Jane applied a long shag haircut with lots of layers all over. Shorter textured bangs and temporary clip in hair extensions were added in to complete the shaggy feel.
Starting on towel dried hair, PON International Pon Soon was worked in from the roots to the ends, Elevate was added at the base, then Turn it Up styling spray was layered in over the top. The hair was finger-dried to remove about 75 % of the moisture and then a round brush was used to add lift and volume to the crown. When completely dry, a large curling iron was used to smooth the ends out. Pon-der Powder was sprinkled in on the top to complete a textured, beachy wave.
