Joelene
had long one length strands in her natural dark brown hue. Stylist
and hair extension specialist Kathy Reed of PON international in
Anaheim Hills, California cleaned up the ends, added a few longer
layers for soft movement and thick, full bangs to frame her face.

 |
| For
her color Kathy highlighted along her part with a soft strawberry
blonde and added a panel of black cherry on the top. Next she applied
more volume and a highlight value to the length by applying hair extensions.
This allowed Joelene to have healthy length and fullness in the bottom
and to not have to chemically treat her length. |
| To
style a sleek look, PON International Sealant
leave in conditioner was applied all over before blow-drying with
just her fingers. Once all of the moisture was removed, the length
was flat ironed and lightly applied over the surface with shine serum. |
| For
a well-polished, dressy look, Kathy created barrel curls low on the
hair length with a larger iron, spraying sections with Redken Quick
Fix 18. Next she directed most of the hair back into a low ponytail.
She then took medium-sized sections, twisted and interlaced them in
back, criss crossed them above the ponytail and pinned them into place
leaving the ends out here and there. |
